ENTRANCE participated in three high-profile events this autumn

The ENTRANCE project has been active in high-profile physical events and successfully participated in 3: the SMARTCITY Business Forum, the TRA 2022 event, and the POLIS Conference. In this article, we want to share the outcomes, the main topics discussed in these events, and some figures as well.

 

SMARTCITY Business Forum on 14 November 2022

The business forum took place in Barcelona just before the Smart City Expo. The main focus of the event stood for building such alliances that can accelerate the transition to smart and climate-neutral cities. This year, it brought together around 400 decision-makers to discuss the private sector’s role in achieving cities’ smart and climate-neutrality targets, creating opportunities for public and private actors to connect, build partnerships and take steps in accelerating urban transformation. The ENTRANCE project was represented by Bable Smart Cities (Tamlyn Shimizu), and PNO (Edgar Valverde), who participated in the SMARTCITY business forum interactive session as speakers.

TRA 2022 event on 15 November 2022

TRA 2022 Conference took place in the Lisbon Congress Centre and gathered more than 2000 participants, 600+ speakers, and more than 60 exhibitors. The main topics covered during the conference were Smart Solutions and Society, Green Mobility and Decarbonisation, Innovative Infrastructure for Europe 2030, and Policies and Economics for a Competitive Europe. The ENTRANCE project was represented by our partners ALICE and PNO. ENTRANCE participated in the “IS13 Accelerate Innovation Market Uptake for Sustainable Transport” conference session that is a part of the Horizon 2020 project task force. In addition, ENTRANCE was also displayed at the European Commission Stand in the TRA 2022 with a video presentation.

POLIS event on 30 November – 1 December 2022

The Annual POLIS Conference 2022 took place in Brussels, at The Egg Brussels venue. The main goal of the event was to provide an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience of mobility experts, practitioners, and decision-makers.

This year, the conference broke all the records and had more than 800 participants that had the possibility to attend 40 sessions about relevant topics suggested by the members of our powerful network. During the two days, the Annual POLIS Conference 2022 offered a mix of 32 parallel sessions, 8 deep-dive panels, and 2 plenaries focused on some of the hottest topics that are high on the mobility agenda of cities and regions.

The ENTRANCE project was represented by our partner, ALICE, which held a physical booth where the participants were able to learn more about the ENTRANCE project.
